The subject of leadership and managerial psychology exists as a sub-branch of psychology within the fields of industrial and organizational psychology. There still appears to be ongoing debate regarding the core pathology for gaining managerial expertise in professional roles relative to having suitable leadership skills and managerial knowledge beyond the direct daily work involved in organizations. Professional organizations inherently include varied levels of sensitive human interactions, which further necessitates their management professionals to have leadership styles that are adjustable contingent on a given situation. Relative to this edited book, managerial psychology is being utilized in a way that may subsequently seek to develop a series of scientific theory principles where the focus is to develop managerial axioms that advance contemporary existing knowledge surrounding professional management logic. The Handbook of Research on Multidisciplinary Perspectives on Managerial and Leadership Psychology provides value uncovered by a collaboration of generalists and specialists who bring professional managerial and leadership opinions to light through narratives and research inclusive of fundamental theory principles that can be applied in practice and academia. This edited reference is focused on the enhancement of management research through managerial psychology while highlighting topics including business process knowledge, management in diverse discipline situations and professions, corporate leadership responsibility, leadership of self and others, and leadership psychology in a variety of different fields of work. This book is ideally designed for leadership and management professionals, academicians, students, and researchers in the fields of knowledge management, administrative sciences and management, leadership development, education, and organization development sub-branches or specialty practices.

DSDM is about people, not tools. It is about truly understanding the needs of a business, delivering software solutions that work and delivering them as quickly and as cheaply as possible. The Dynamic Systems Development Method provides a framework of controls and best practice for Rapid Application Development. It was created by a consortium of organisations and it has been proved, since its publication in January 1995, to be extremely effective in delivering maintainable systems which match the needs of the business better than those produced using traditional lifecycles. This book, commissioned by the DSDM Consortium and written by the chairman of the Technical Committee which developed the method, explores the day-to-day realities of implementing the method. It is a practitionerIs guide, dealing with issues such as how to get people from different disciplines to work together as a team, how to gain commitment and how to manage projects within normal business constraints. Qualitative Research in Information Systems: A Reader represents just such a volume and is both timely and relevant. Information systems and qualitative research articles are now widely used for teaching on many upper level courses in information systems, and there is demand for a definitive collection of these readings as a basic reader and teaching text. Crowdsourcing is a relatively recent phenomenon that only appeared in 2006, but it continues to grow and diversify (crowdfunding, crowdcontrol, etc.). This book aims to review this concept and show how it leads to the creation of value and new business opportunities. Chapter 1 is based on four examples: the online-banking sector, an informative television channel, the postal sector and the higher education sector. It shows that in the current context, for a company facing challenges, the crowd remains an untapped resource. The next chapter presents crowdsourcing as a new form of externalization and offers definitions of crowdsourcing. In Chapter 3, the authors attempt to explain how a company can create value by means of a crowdsourcing operation. To do this, authors use a model linking types of value, types of crowd, and the means by which these crowds are accessed. Chapter 4 examines in detail various forms that crowdsourcing may take, by presenting and discussing ten types of crowdsourcing operation. In Chapter 5, the authors imagine and explore the ways in which the dark side of crowdsourcing might be manifested and Chapter 6 offers some insight into the future of crowdsourcing. Contents 1. A Turbulent and Paradoxical Environment. 2. Crowdsourcing: A New Form of Externalization. 3. Crowdsourcing and Value Creation. 4. Forms of Crowdsourcing. 5. The Dangers of Crowdsourcing. 6.
