This is how the MindFlow Method works: Using movements similar to Qigong, we tap into the energy field within and around us. This brings us into a higher state of consciousness (the G4 state) where our bodies release 'happy' hormones that help us relax. In this state, we can harness any toxic energy that comes our way and use it as our own strength. This brings us into alignment with our own inner power, calm in the knowledge that we are connected to life energy. Discover the life-changing effects of the MindFlow Method, which will teach you how to release your resistance to challenges, raise your energy level, and move into a state of flow and deep inner peace.

This innovative book combines two very special states of awareness—“mindfulness” and “flow”—into a new and unique state called “mindflow”. The practice of mindflow leads to a stress-free, healthy, fulfilling and effective life in today’s complex and challenging environment. It brings together current understanding and research of mindfulness and flow with ancient practices of meditation and mindfulness, to describe the extra-ordinary state of mindfulness-in-flow. It is both a “how-to-do” and a “how-to-be” book. It considers the states and practices of mindfulness, meditation and flow, and a process that leads to the experience of mindfulness-in-flow, where a person completely engages in an activity, yet is mindful and aware of the surrounding environment. Mindflow leads to positive outcomes in daily life, relationships, work, and for the world. Over 50 practical techniques and applications are described here so the reader can experience mindflow in every part of life.

Saturday, December 14, 2013. The case ended up taking seven hours. Her incision stretched from pubic bone to sternum. Although saturated with narcotic, she awakened writhing in pain. Any more pain meds . . . and she’d quit breathing. With help to carefully turn and position her onto her side, I then slipped in an epidural catheter. I put it up high, to be sure the band of numbness would cover the length of her incision. Within minutes after the first dose, she morphed into an entirely different person, chatting with us. Need for IV narcs, gone. She was able to take deep breaths and cough without pain. How could I have lived with myself had I not taken this extra step? It likely helped shorten her hospital stay and reduce the cost. Curses to any payer claiming epidurals for post-op pain are not necessary. Damn any CEO taking credit for the savings while putting a portion into his own pocket.

Reflections on Critical Museology: Inside and Outside Museums offers a reflective and reflexive re-assessment of museum studies and the first wide-ranging account of critical museology. Drawing on an extensive range of examples from museums and across the museological literature, which are purposefully representative of very different cultural backgrounds, the book issues a plea for critical thinking in and about museums. The various institutions covered and the plural analytical standpoints offer a broad interdisciplinary approach by intermingling art history, anthropology, sociocultural theories and heritage studies. The result is not claimed as a universal or all-encompassing account but a subjective review produced by J. Pedro Lorente, an art critic and historian who has been writing extensively about ‘critical museology’ in different languages for many years. Lorente offers a fascinating synopsis of his ideas in this extremely valuable short book, looking inside and outside museums, combining practice and theory, whilst also relating both to the work of museum professionals and to a range of publications by academics, including those from other research fields. Reflections on Critical Museology: Inside and Outside Museums will be essential reading for university students and academics working in museum studies and cognate disciplines, such as art history, anthropology and cultural studies.
