The 3rd edition Is leaner and meaner updated for 2021. The first 60 reviews are for the first two editions. Thank you to all who took the time to write a review. This edition is condensed into a smaller space to use less paper, but it adds 20% more content. If you reach out to me [email protected], I will send you the outline for you to keep alongside, as a guide. Now includes diagrams of my favorite games. Also, there are some spaces for you to take some notes provided for you to further engage learning. Are you a new coach and want to get off to the best possible start coaching your team? Are you a coach pressed into service by the school? Have you been coaching tennis, but your team is stuck in a rut? Are you looking for expert coaching to take your team to the next level? You are in the right place. Bill Patton has revised the first edition with a higher level of prose, and 20,000 more words of easily digestible advice for the high school tennis coach. The mostly linear approach starts with making the big decisions, then moves forward into a more detailed planning, skill development and provides resources and thoughts to guide you. There are more games and drill in this edition! Golf is a disease, not a game. Especially when you take the game up in your fifties, as I did. After a series of injuries stopped my recreational tennis play, and my retirement from a lifetime of coaching and teaching tennis, I tried golf. It didn't take long to realize it was not an easy endeavor. Someone said, "You can't learn anything from a golf book, but you have to read a lot of golf books to find that out!" I found the gurus of golf instruction: Ledbetter, Pelz, and Hogan, who was said to have written the book with the secret! I did find one that really attracted me but in a somewhat different way.
