For more than a decade, Linc Menner has raised the status of househusband to an art form. . . . While his wife, Jo, brings home the bacon, Linc Menner holds down the fort–his gourmet cooking is sublime, his cleaning unrivaled, and his devotion to his daughter, Violet, unparalleled. But when the Menners relocate from upstate New York to the steamy beaches of Naples, Florida, life takes an unexpected turn. As the Menners renovate their new home Linc’s bliss turns into a war zone of contractors, dry wall dust, and chaos. And suddenly being surrounded by guys whose faces go blank as he expounds on the virtues of lump-free gravy makes Linc realize he has forgotten what it feels like to be a man. So Linc trades his flip-flops for work boots, and his wild mop of hair for a barbershop buzz, and marches his flabby physique to the nearest gym–attracting the secret devotion of one of Violet’s teacher in the process. And his stunned family watches helplessly as they lose the man who keeps them all together. To make matters worse, it’s hurricane season and there’s a category 5 heading right for Naples. As life on the home front explodes into hilarity and catastrophe, Linc must chart his own delightfully crooked course to finally become the Man of the House. Praise for Ad Hudler’s Househusband “With self-deprecating humor and adroit expression, Hudler delves deep into the American psyche of gender roles. . . . The dialogue rings with authenticity.” –The State (Columbia, S.C.) “Winning . . . [a] breezy comic outing.” –The New York Times From the Trade Paperback edition.

Produced for only one year in the '70s, Blythe is a moony waif of a doll coveted by a growing group of devoted fans. Photographer Gina Garan fell to Blythe's charms and unusual looks years ago and has shot her in settings around the world, from Greece to Soho to Hooters. Hilarious, mesmerizing, and just a little spooky, This Is Blythe is the result of Garan's offbeat passion and a photography book like no other. Here's mod Blythe pacing through an art gallery; a pensive Blythe in a tiny blue fur parka, the sun flaring orange behind her; Blythe emerging from a block of ice. Is that Blythe telling her Christmas wishes to Santa Claus? Like stills for a film that hasn't happened (yet?), these undeniably beautiful photographs create an entire world from each flawless frame. A no-explanation-necessary gift for that special someone, This Is Blythe will enchant fans of witty photography and pop culture with a taste for the unexpected.

I always believe in spirits, but I never spoke of it to anyone out of fear they would think I was crazy. However, I had many experiences that I thought I would share, since the idea of seeing spirits have become conversational. I remember the first time I witness something no one else could see; I was only a little girl. I didnt understand what I was witnessing. However, as I became of age and every time I witness something that wasnt there, I assumed I was going crazy. Nevertheless, the more stories I heard of spirits and that other people was experiencing the same thing I was. I know longer believed I was curse. However, over time I assumed that if I would pretend I didnt see anything. They would go away. Nevertheless, that didnt happen. I cant say that all my days of seeing spirits was bad experience some were good. While reading my book of chilling night stories Im not sure if you felt my book was fiction or not. Nevertheless, they were real experience with a little added affects. Out of all my experiences, the event that still haunts me on occasion is the devil. When I was living an ungodly life, I never experience such an event like that. However, when I decided to turn my life over to God, he appeared out of nowhere. The story that holds true to my heart is the phone call from my brother. When I lost my brother, my life had ended. I no longer wanted to exist without him. However, that phone call gave me the opportunity to see that he was happy. No one wants to loss a love one and no one wants to hear that his or her love one has moved on to a better place. However, his phone call allowed me to believe that they do. I hope you enjoyed reading about my ghostly experience. Even though it felt good to finally, share my experiences. It brought back many memories. In addition, I found myself not being able to sleep with the light off.

This is a story of a man who enters a therapeutic relationship for reasons of which he is not sure. All his life, he had chosen not to grandstand his extraordinary dilemma. Rather, he proceeded in isolation, privately designing a way to endure his almost incomprehensible set of circumstances. He struggled alone, researching, networking, looking for answers, explanations, friends, looking for someone to listen, to believe him. When he finally begins therapy for the first time in forty-one years, he initiates the opportunity for his life to take final shape. Together, they learn what it means to listen and to really hear what someone is saying. They learn how it feels to be a man and a woman in a world that isn't always sure what that means. They learn what it means to be tolerated by a society that makes every day living an unimaginable chore. It is a story, ultimately, of acceptance and forgiveness.
