Đuro Maričic, for more than seventy years, is friends of children, nature, and animals. He loves and adores them. He's a great friend. He writes poems and stories for children. He knows very well the lives of children, their games and pranks in the family, school, and on the street. He observes first children's charity. When he is with them, the child becomes a poet. Humor is present in many Chuck songs. He feels that laughter is a cure! Đuro has written more than seven hundred songs for kids. Renowned Croatian writer, Tito Bilopavlovic, edited the journal for kids, SMIB, which is intended for children of lower ages, for fifteen years. In the book How Grow Children, Tito chose twenty-eight of Đuro's anthology poems. The famous poet Luko Paljetak of Croatian Academy wrote a review, a recommendation for the publication of this beautiful collection of songs. The song "The First-Grade Duckling" entered the readers in the first grade, in Croatia, secret letters, whose authors are Jadranka Zlokic and Terezija Bralic. It is on the first page. Some of these songs are also readers in the lower grades of primary school in Serbia. These poems have been published in magazines for children in Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia, and Herzegovina. Interestingly enough, the only one of the songs, "Menagerie," did Đuro install as thirteen animals. In other songs, besides the children and their mischief, are dogs, cats, chicken, butterfly, small kangaroo, sparrow, centipede, giraffe, rabbit, rooster, fox, and bear. There are also doll, dad, mom, and captain of the ship. Nature is present in many poems of this book. There are seasons: spring, summer and harvest, sunflowers, autumn and quince, winter and frost. Reading these poems is the ultimate pleasure for children, but adults also like to read them and remember. Do not forget them; they often come back and read it again.

NATIONAL BESTSELLER • The ultimate guide for adults helping tweens and teens navigate the rollercoaster of puberty. “An accessible, enjoyable, and detailed road map for addressing even the most delicate topics with confidence and compassion.”—Lisa Damour, PhD, author of Untangled, Under Pressure, and The Emotional Lives of Teenagers Almost everything about puberty has changed since today’s adults went through it. It starts, on average, two years earlier and stretches through high school . . . and for some, beyond. Gens Z and Alpha are also contending with a whole host of thorny issues that parents didn’t experience in their own youth but nonetheless need to understand: everything from social media and easy-access pornography to gender identities and new or newly-potent drugs. Talking about any of this is like puberty itself: Awkward! But it’s also critical for the health, happiness, and safety of today’s kids. Bewildered adults have begged for reliable and relatable information about the modern adolescent experience. This Is So Awkward answers their call. Written by a pediatrician and a puberty educator—together the hosts of a lively and popular podcast on puberty, and moms to six teens between them—this is the handbook everyone has been searching for, and includes: • Pointed advice about how to talk to kids about almost anything: acne, body odor, growth spurts, eating disorders, mood swings, sexuality, and more. • Science-based explanations for all of puberty’s physical, emotional, and social changes, including the many ways hormones affect kids both above and below the neck. • What adults needs to know about today’s teen culture: their mental health drivers, the un-gendering of body image issues, the ways they think about sexual orientation, and more. • Invaluable commentary straight from young adults just out the other side of adolescence that highlights what they wish the adults in their lives had known or done differently. Eye-opening and reassuring, This Is So Awkward will help adults understand the turbulent pubescent decade and become confident guides for today’s kids.

How People Grow reveals why all growth is spiritual growth and how you can grow in ways you never thought possible. Our desire to grow runs deep. Yet the issues in our lives and relationships that we wish would change often stay the same, even with our best efforts at spiritual growth. What does it take to experience increasing strength and depth in our spiritual walk, our marriages and family lives and friendships, our personal development--in everything life is about? And how can we help others move into growth that is profound and lasting? Unpacking the practical and passionate theology that forms the backbone of their counseling, Drs. Henry Cloud and John Townsend shatter popular misconceptions about how God operates to reveal how growth really happens. You'll discover: What the essential processes are that make people grow. How those processes fit into a biblical understanding of spiritual growth and theology. How spiritual growth and real-life issues are one and the same. What the responsibilities are of pastors, counselors, and others who assist people in growing What your own responsibilities are in your personal growth. Shining focused light on the great doctrines and themes of Christianity, How People Grow helps you understand the Bible in a way that will help you head with confidence down the high road of growth in Christ. Workbook also available.
